Our client has an outstanding opportunity for a project finance partner with strong domestic and international project finance and banking experience. The firm has a wide international reach and an impressive global client base.
Acting for both developers and lenders/equity investors, the group has a strong and long-established reputation across all its international offices and has undertaken a broad range of work primarily within the energy sector including oil & gas, nuclear, electricity and infrastructure. It is active in over 80 countries.
They advise on the development and financing of power plants, pipelines, petro-chemical and other infrastructure projects. It has been involved in cutting edge PPP, acquisitions and divestitures, PE investments and debt restructurings. Globally, more than 50% of their work in the last five years has been on renewable energy projects including wind, solar, biomass, geothermal, hydroelectric, and fuel cell.
The firm has consistently won plaudits in the directories for its work in project finance and is looking for a partner with a strong reputation and track record to join its team in London.
Prior experience of project finance work in developing countries such as sub Saharan Africa and Eastern Europe would be of particular interest, though those with UK qualified solicitors with major international experience will be of similar interest. The group boasts pre-eminent political risk insurance and export credit and loan guarantees expertise.
